On these pages you will find a growing number of
photos from ONA as the rennovation takes place and each part of
the hospital is transformed. |
The outside of the hospital is still in the
process of being rennovated. The building itself has got a face
lift with new paint and lights as well as th emergency room entrance
still being re-built for better access.
Further plans call for improving pedestrian access by adding
a staircase from the street so walk-in traffic do not have to
walk through the parking lot for access to the hospital.
18k Pesos of this rennovation came from Mayor Lazatin's own
pocket.
Pictured first below is Dr Froilan Canlas (Director of ONA)
and Mark Smith of the Rotary who are spearheading the ONA Rennovation
Project.

The NICU (Natal Intensive Care Unit) was one of the the beneficiaries
of the drive started on the Internet to buy new bassinettes for
the infants in their care. 15 new bassinettes were delivered
although 12 more are still needed.
Along with the new bassinettes, which were desperately
needed, the rest of the NICU will also get a make-over to bring
it up to the high standard set for the hospital bringing it into
the 21st Century.

The Pedia Ward is a major project that needs
a lot of funding. As you can see from the pictures below the
facility is in dire need of rennovation.
A benefit at the Roadhouse in late March or early April will
be held to help raise the funds needed for this projet. 600k
Pesos are needed to fully re-model this portion of the hospital
including a new CR, ceilings, tiles, beds, everything in this
wing so that the kids who come here for help have a clean and
efficient place to get well and return to their families.

The ICU (Intensive Care unit) is in the middle
of its rennovation. The Rotary sponsored this project with the
help of Knightbridge who donated beds and equipment. This part
of the hospital will be completed very soon and be a state of
the art facility for patients in need.
Apart from the equipment donated by Knightsbridge,
the 195k Pesos for the project was funded by the Rotary.

The ER (Emergency Room) has already completed
its rennovation although the outside entrance for patience and
ambulance access is still being worked on.
The difibrulator, beds, and other equipment
were donated by Knightsbridge while the crash cart was donated
by Mark Smith himself and the 220k Pesos for the rest of the
project was financed by the Rotary.
The lab is now one of the best in country. The
blood analyzer alone, donated by Knightsbridge, was 1.8 million
pesos and is one of only two in country. The other equipment
located in the new lab was also donated by Knightsbridge and
the 38k Pesos needed for rennovation was donated out of Mayor
Lazitan's own personal monies.
